Blackwork

Post by agi »

Well, actually this is rather pinkwork. It's going to be a little case or bag that I can hang on my neck for my ipod.

Oh, I can only see it now, the photo does not do credit to the beautiful variegated thread :-( I received it from Jilly!

It's very pretty. I haven't tried blackwork as yet, but it is on my ever-growing list of techniques to try. See what an influence you all have on me?

That is so pretty, Agi. You've inspired me to make something myself. If I'm lucky, I'm hoping to get an ipod for my birthday.

That's lovely Agi, and doesn't it show well how blackwork works in all sorts of different colours?

Here is another one - as my daughter saw what I was doing, she asked for one, too. She chose the colour.

I finished the other side, too with cross stitch, am putting it up in the mini-projects thread.

Thank you! She does, indeed, she has quite an artistic talent! She does silver jewelery, very good, too. And can draw! I suggested that she try cross stitch, but she is not interested :D

A beautiful design... it really encourages me to try blackwork.

(I've been considering doing a few small pieces, and incorporate them into a biscornu project)
