Sorry y'all, I am really busy today and don't have time to include some info today's creatures. But these are pretty familiar (especially #11), so I think it will be alright.

Good luck to everyone! Don't forget to PM me as soon as you get bingo. :)

Good luck to everyone! First person to PM me with a good bingo wins!

Here are today's numbers.

#16 Kappa
Image
These creatures are found in Japanese folklore, but are also a cryptid (a creature who has been claimed to exist but of which there is no scientific evidence). Kappa live in waters such as ponds or rivers, are somewhat humanoid in shape, and are usually about the size of a child (in fact, their name means “river-child”). Because they live in the water, they have webbed hands and feet which help them swim. Descriptions of them vary, but they almost always include a hard shell like a turtle, a beak as a mouth, and most interestingly, a flat bald area on top of their heads which is always wet and though to be the source of their power. It is said that if this area dries up the kappa will lose its power and possibly die. Kappa tend to be tricky, though their actions can range from mildly mischevious like looking up ladies’ kimonos to downright evil like drowning and kidnapping. Kappa are notoriously obsessed with politeness (except when drowning you?), so if you are to meet one, bow to it. It will have to return your bow, causing the water on top of its head to spill out which will render the Kappa powerless. If you then replace the water on its head, it will have to serve you for all eternity (supposedly). Or you could just leave, as the Kappa will not be able to return to a standing position until the water is replaced.

#30 Kelpie
Image
The kelpie can be found in Celtic folklore. It is a supernatural water horse that resides in the rivers and lochs of Scotland and Ireland, which can shape-shift from horse to water and back. Kelpies lure people, especially children, into the water in order to kill and eat them. The kelpie will encourage you to ride on its back, and once you are doing so, the skin on its back will become sticky and adhere you to the horse so that it can drag you to the bottom of the water and eat you. Well, it will eat all of you except your heart and liver (apparently it doesn’t like offal). The only way to defeat and/or tame a kelpie is to take possession of its bridle. Only then can you make the kelpie do your bidding. Kelpies are very strong and have great endurance, so they would make great horses if you are up to the challenge of taming one.
