Hi all,
Its been a little while since I have been on here. I have been making the most of the summer and spending time in the garden, even doing a little gardening in between long lazy sit downs.
We are so lucky as we have a bumble bee nest in our compost bin this year and it has been manic here, the garden has been bursting with buzzing and all kinds of everything. Isn't it nice when just doing nothing is so special.
Haven't done a lot of stitching as I have been reading a lot. But I am going to pack a couple of small projects to take to France.... yippee off tomorrow. We have rented a house close to Angeloume we have not been to that area before so I am getting excited now. Two whole weeks in a quiet cottage, no traffic, no noise and a couple of acres of garden and orchard to wander around.
I am sure to find a shady spot to stitch somewhere.
Anyone ever been to that part of France?

Got lost on the Angouleme by-pass once! 
coming back from the UK
It's about 4 hours north of us and so don't know that area.
Have a lovely time! It's getting a bit cooler now and the French holiday season is almost over so it should be quieter on the roads.

Sounds like you've had a great summer and what a wonderful trip coming up for you! Stitching at a cottage in France...wow!! I have to say, as someone living in the plain old American Mid-West, that sounds like heaven!!
