Wedding Charts/Kits

Post by Explosion_Of_Colour »

Hiya folks!

I'm getting married next May and my best friend just got engaged over Easter so I've been spending the last few days looking at wedding cross stitches - one as a pressie for her and one to do for mine :)

I've found some lovely ones:

http://www.sewandso.co.uk/Products/Two- ... -0410.aspx" target="_blank
http://www.sewandso.co.uk/Products/Cele ... RC111.aspx" target="_blank
http://www.sewandso.co.uk/Products/Rose ... ARENT.aspx" target="_blank

I may have to do this one as ours has a bit of a Disney theme to it so this seems rather apt :)

Just thought I'd see what everyone elses favourites are :) I'd love to see one with a bride and groom figure where the brides dress and skirts are all highlighted beautifully like a lot of the HEADs have - no luck yet though!

Hello Becky,

We do a range of bride and groom wedding sampler patterns on our website if that helps.

Alternatively, if you have an image you would like creating into a cross stitch pattern I have used this website in the past - http://www.myphotostitch.com/" target="_blank and had some very good results.

Good Luck & Congratulations.

Joan Elliott does a couple of lovely ones as well.

I've discovered that what wedding sampler you do for a couple is very individual and very different for each! I did a lovely beaded heart design on paper (it's a kit) for one couple that just suited them perfectly. Others are better with a more traditional one.

I don't know if the range of wedding samplers is as huge as ones for babies, but you can spend a LOT of time looking for one!

Best of luck with your search and your wedding,

I just finished a wedding sampler that was in the May/June 2013 issue of Just Cross Stitch. You can see pictures of it on my blog (link is in my signature). I thought it was really pretty.

I shy away from most wedding designs and look at some non-traditional, but still wedding and celebratory patterns

And well, I just love Alessandra Adelaide's design style. They could be easily modified to include names and dates in, or below the design. Change some colors to suit their wedding colors. Can be used for opposite sex, or same sex couples. Very versatile.

I like this little one found on ebay :) It would make a perfect little gift as they could hang it up in their kitchen! Could obviously be customised so that their names were in it too.

There's these two freebies that could work:

http://www.vsccs.com/Sample%20Designs/2 ... -Color.pdf" target="_blank

both are free on vermillion's website. =)
