Wow! - amazing job and an excellent result. You should be really proud of this Jenny, 'cause we're proud that you managed to complete it.
Your gentle giant lazin' on the rock with his eyes ever watchful over us all is stunning. As other have already said, the black setting makes it all the better, although I imagine it would be much harder to work with. I have the luxury of using any colour as my background during the wip, then I just change it at the end..... see virtual x-stitch has got a few advantages - lol

I shall be lookin' out for your next project wip and be right here to encourage ya. :)

Happy Stitichin'... :)

Having worked on black aida, I can totally appreciate how challenging (and frustrating  ) this can be!

You should be very proud - and you definitely need to get it framed and show us that too! :D

Thanks for all your kind comments!

I started micheal powells 'pots of flowers' yesterday evening. It just the thing I need, lots of bright blocks of colour!
Heres my progress:

I think the original is done using anchor, but im using dmc so the colours are not as soft as the original design!

Well done Jenny the tiger is absolutely gorgeous! Good idea to get it professionally framed when there's such a lot of effort gone into it -- and well worth it!

I like the new project you've started -- is he the designer with the wobbly lines? It's nice and bright; and probably a bit of a relief to leave the dark fabric behind you :-)

I've often wondered whether there was a noticeable difference between DMC and Anchor -- so the Anchor colours are softer? Almost makes me sorry that when I first took up cross stitch it was with a DMC kit *wistful sigh*

Started another already and some very good progress. The colors are so nice and bright I like that. Quite a jump from black to white do you feel like it has suddenly become daylight.
