Heaven & Earth New Project

Post by nicgoss »

Hi guys,

I'm thinking about buying a Heaven & Earth cross stitch (as shown below).

The picture looks a bit good to be true, so I have my doubts!

Can anyone tell me if they have done this x stitch or anything similar from Heaven and Earth?

The kit isn't cheap to buy so I want to make sure I'm making the right choice before getting it, so any advice would be most welcome!

Cheers mates x

Check out the thread titled "HELP" in the general forum. Some else has just bought a HAED and you should find some helpful info from some of the other stitchers who have done one.

Is this a chart from HAED or is it kitted up on Aida by another company? Both are sometimes available.

They are every bit as good as they look, but a HUGE investment in time and eye strain if you are doing it on 25ct over 1, which is what HAED suggest. Check out their website, and look up both your design and read their tips and suggestions. They are the experts! www.heavenandearthdesigns.com

Yes, their freebies are in a class by themselves. I have downloaded one of the dragons.

My friend started Night Queen by HAED and it's still in progress - she said something about having to use hair-like needles and they kept breaking, I didn't ask too many questions - she was stressed enough

Ha Ha! I can well imagine that this may be a tad challenging!

This one is working over 18 count aida which i'm hoping may be a little easier :?

Put it this way, if I do decide to do it, I think you guys may be hearing from me quite a lot, and probably not in a good way

I'll have a read of the website - thanks for your advice guys. Much appreciated as always x

Just checked out the site and I can honestly say I'm blown away by the quality of the images.
I'd like to see a close up of some finished work to see just how detailed they are.... probably still a fair way off for a newbie like me though.

Having said that, I've downloaded some of the freebies to have a look, and maybe give one of them a try

Daz, the full-blown HAED are really not for inexperienced stitchers. But have a look at their freebies. These are often on 18ct, which isn't hard to work, and some of them are quite nice. Not to start while the Leopardess and Cub are still on the go: two big projects at once... yipes!

I've been drooling over some of the designs, but no way I'm ready to even attempt most of them any time soon.

The Leopardess plus one or two small projects is more than enough already.
