I love this thread. So many good ideas and such neat work.
The charts were free on the web, but, unfortunately I didn't save a link to them. I spent quite some time today looking, but couldn't find the link. When/if they show up in my surfing, I'll be sure to let you know.
I appreciate the compliments. They were fun to do. I gave them as a gift, but now I want some for myself, too.
Ooohh.. good. Thanks ladies.
Have thoughts to do this design for my parents as a flat fold. Had thought of either that or as a standup, wrapped around a box, with the ribbons and bits around the edges and on the top.
Here is a new one I did as a Christmas present. So bought some cheap frames and then got a piece of fabric and did the little plane and the wording. I then cut the fabric to fit the picture aperture and I hot glued the fabric around the aperture and I then stretched the fabric and stapled it to the back of the frame. I then found some sting of gold balls that I have in my stash and also the little gold airplanes were in my stash. I hot glued that to the edge and ta-da I have a unique gift for a friend.
If you are looking for some one to help change you, look in the mirror
Wondering if anyone has ideas on sewing a cross stitch Christmas stocking so it can end up larger in capacity than the usual recommended completion size.
I have not done a Christmas stocking yet, but maybe it would be possible to just leave more fabric on the sides when you cut out the design, as well as cutting a bigger piece of the backing fabric.
