Hi everyone, This is my first post here.
I'm Kerry, a cross-stitch addict! I'm sure you'll all know what that's like, cross stitch is FARRRRRRR more important that doing the house work

I'm married with 2 children, 1 cat and my pride & joy my pet dog Buster, an English Mastiff.

Luckily for me I run a cross stich business, I design & manufacture cross stitch kits with my hubby, so I always have some stitching to do and can get away with my cross stitching being a high-prioritoy

I'm very pleased to have found this froum as I do like to chat about things on line and it looks like a nice friendly community here.

I look forward to 'meeting' you all on here and hope I can contribute something usefull to some threads!

I must warn you all, I do tend to waffle! I better stop now before I waffle on for several pages, so that's enough about me for the moment.

What are you all working on at the moment?

You own your own LNS???? I am so jealous! (no, seriously....wish I could!)

Welcome to the forum I'm almost new myself (& have figured out that I'm more of a novice than I thought) but everyone here is very warm, welcoming & nice to share your :wip: 's with.

I can't wait to see some of your work!

Welcome again.

Hi, wow that was a quick reply! :D

Thank you for the welcome. :D

I've only just figured out what WIP means, and I've been reading the board for a couple of days  (That's if I guessed it correctly - work in progress?).

Oh dear, I think reading all the topics is going to become just as addictive as stitching!!

I'm stitching several projects at the moment, but I've stitched them before, so I'm itching to stich something new. I'm having to stitch some samples for our appearence on Create & Craft TV soon. As much as I love stitching, I am getting imaptient with them as I want to start some new designs

Thanks again for the welcome, it's great to be able to chat to fello-stitchers. If people aren't into stitching it seems as if thier eyes glaze over when I'm rabbiting on with excitement about what I've managed to stitch

Hiya lucyloo,

I've just had a quick google of the projects you're stitching, they are brill.
How complicated are they to stitch, do they have any/many fractional? The Beauty & the Beast one looks soooooo pretty.

What do you do with them when you are finished?

All the ones I stitch for the business get mounted & framed for demos, but all the stitching I've ever done for myself, just end up rolled up and shoved in a bag in my wardrobe :(
When by boys were babies, I stitched a row of teddies (Dimensions, 'A Row of Love), as the boys took up so much of my time, it eneded up taking me about 2 years to finish it and the poor thing is hidden away in a bag. I don't think it would go with our decor if I hung it on the wall, but it would be nice to display it somehow, or do something with it.

Hi Willow  I must admit, Toddles and Binkie are my favorite characters too. Binkie may be getting a girlfriend soon, but shhhhh, don't tell him, it's a suprise

Hi Reta,
It is a very pretty part of Glos. here (in the Cotswolds), we are not far away from Sewandso atall, about a 15min drive.

Hi backafteradozenyrs,
The pink elephant is Muffin :D We do ship to the US, it's a fixed rate of £1.99 (about 3.15US dollars) for orders under £25, orders over that get free postage - even to the US.

Hiya socialsue in Canada

I hope it's OK to reply to several people in one post like this?

Hi Kerry , I love your designs they are very cute :) The Beauty Beast one is tricky there are lots of fractional stitches with just a little back stitch the other one is easier its all whole stitch just alot of them! I frame my pics and the kids get them lucky i've got four really
I think you should have a bit of wall space too :)

Aw, thanks lucyloo :D

Wow, 4 kids rooms to fill, that is a lot of stitching display room!

My boys are 12 & 13, they wont have my stitching in thier rooms, they are into scootering and games consoles, they would not have my cute row of teddies, or the winnie the pooh or tatty ted ones I have stitched, on thier walls, it would be bad for thier street cred,

I must make it my mission this year to get them all framed and hung on the wall though, so much work has gone into them over the years, I need to show them off!

I hope you post of a piccy of your cross stitches when you've finished, the pics look so nice, it would be great to see your finished work :)

Hi Kerry and welcome from Brisbane Australia.

Just popped on for a quick look before heading to bed - after the dogs ( both jack Rusell X) and HM Mischief (our (DD and me) cat) have been watered fed and dogs let out for a run before bed.

I am currently working on a Joan Elliott design Lady Rose and have sidelined my Victorian Charm once again before I really damage it completely - ddd roof won't go right so its out of sight now. I am starting to kit up some L&L charts I have ready to work on later.
