I have a Dell Inspiron 6000. It's about 3 years old and I love it. I've never gotten used to the touch pad, so I use a mouse. I love the portability of it. I would like a larger screen though.
One thing to think about getting is a carrying case with wheels if you do a lot of traveling. Even though they are "lightweight" they can get heavy if you have to lug it through an airport!
