Glad it was only a close call. My granddaughter had one right before Christmas. They do make you nervous. But how fortunate that he is okay. Vehicles can be replaced. I hope he wasn't injured, though I am sure he was shaken up also.

I sometimes think that is a man thing about vehicles, no matter their age. (and they are really bad about pick up trucks especially). It also shows that he wasn't hurt and that is a good thing too.

 Things like that make you appreciate how dangerous driving can be. I'm glad your dad is okay, and hope that he's able to replace his truck soon.

Accidents like that always shake us up because we realize how fragile we all are. Sorry to hear that your dad was in a close call like that.

What a relief to know your Dad is ok and only concerned about the loss of his truck. Mind you guys and their trucks - regardless of age - seem to have a close affinity with each other. Hope the replacement can be acquired soon - and hope that the rest of you recover ok from the shock of it all.

What a relief that he's ok and it was just his truck that got smashed up. I'm sure he'll soon bond with the replacement! Take care

I'm so glad to hear that your dad is okay! I agree with the others that there is something about boys and their vehicles. In fact, my son has told us (he's 9) that he doesn't want to be as tall as his dad (6'6") so he can drive a Camero like Bumblebee from Transformers when he's old enough.
