It's alive... alive!

Post by Zeb »

So I used to be a regular member here last year, but life and other things took over and I sort of, well, dissapeared :(

I've only recently gotten back to stitching and am touching base with all my favourite haunts (including this forum.) Current wips and finishes can be viewed here: http://www.geekchixxx.com/2011/10/lets-try-this-again/" target="_blank

Hello and welcome back. It's good to meet you and I hope you will stay so I can see more of your work. I love your dragon (I did go look at your blog, though I don't check blogs very much I was certainly curious to see your wip) and your tapestry and the little gingerbread house. Do you have any other works in progress also?

Hey Carole, I finished another design in the last two days while on holiday. It features a Snapper, a local fish in New Zealand waters for my dad that you can see here (last picture) http://www.geekchixxx.com/2011/10/mangawhai/" target="_blank

I've got Teresa Wentzler's Peacock Majesty kitted up and ready to rock as soon as I've finished my current wip.

Other than that I'm debating whether to pick up a UFO or do a small biscornu. I really should start stitching my christmas cards but not feeling motivated for it right now!

The snapper looks good. :applesauce: and anything by Teresa Wentzler has to be good too. Until I discovered HAED patterns she was probably my favorite designer. I did several of her dragon pieces years ago. Now I seem to be taken up mostly by HAEDs though new things keep popping up around here that draw me in as they are so beautiful and fun to do. I hope you pick something that will keep your stitchy bug alive and well. Sounds like you arent' gung ho on those Christmas Cards just yet so be careful that they don't pull you away from stitching again.

Love the snapper! It reminds me of my favourite video game, Animal Crossing where the Red Snapper is somewhat rare and you get paid 3000 bells if you catch one. :) I'm sure your dad will love it!

Good luck on the Xmas stitching, I haven't done mine yet either.
