Trylla's 2011 Smallish Projects - Update Sept 3

New year, new thread.

I've been working on my blackwork SAL project. Fill patterns are done (except for the contrast colour and beading) and I still have to do the border. It's coming along though. I have discovered that there are some fill patterns I really enjoy, and others that just suck!

It is the year of babies for my friends it seems. And all of them first babies too. So I am stitching baby announcements for 3 soon-to-be mothers. The first is due April 1st, so I've gotten a start on hers.

It's Lickle Bit Cleaner by DMC. I'm stitching it on 32 ct antique white lugana 2 over 2. (I have decided I detest stitching over 2, but it's impossible to avoid with all the darn fractional stitches in this design.)

It'll look like this when I'm done (I hope):
