9. Tiger by Janlynn (DONE)
10. Hummingbird and Morning Glories Gold Collection Petites by Dimensions (DONE)

Re: Tiffstitch's WIPs/Crazy January Challenge 2011

For the first day of the Challenge I had to work, so I picked something small. I thought I'd give my first freestyle design a go, and I'm pretty happy with the result. I was able to finish all the wording at work and the dice when I got home.

Image

This is a quote from the book series "The Wheel of Time" by Robert Jordan/Brandon Sanderson. It's in the "Old Tongue" and translates to "Time to roll the dice".

And since it was January 1st and a short work day, I also finished up Kell's "one drink woman" sampler. Here's a pic of that as well. I started it yesterday, so it was a nice, quick stitch.

I'm at work again tomorrow, so I will likely stay with something small, but I think everything else is bigger than my first project! I do feel happy that I'm 1/1 in completions! I'm sure that will not last longer than today. ;)

Well done with the finish on day one - that's what I call getting ahead of the game! And you did a fab job of One Drink Woman - I'm chuffed to ribbons. :)

I started stitching a bookmark, but I only got a small part done...

Good work tiffstitch . Both models are beautiful. :applesauce: :applesauce:

I understood that every day should be started and finished one year.

I understood it wrong?

No, you didn't misunderstand. We're supposed to start a new project every day for fifteen days and try and finish them all by the end of the year. I started the bookmark yesterday and managed to finish it yesterday. The sampler was started December 31st and I finished it yesterday as well. I'm using this thread for ALL of my stitching, not just the Crazy January Challenge.

Thank you for your compliments!

Thanks everyone for your comments!

After proudly posting my picture of my bookmark my DH noticed I had put 5 pips on 2 sides of the left most die at the back! So I fixed that today.

And for Day 2 I made a start on Kell's 2011 sampler. It was a bit busier at work today, so I didn't get a lot done, but it's a decent start.

For Day 3 I got a good/not good surprise. My truck is broken and I can't go to work, so I don't get paid today, but I will have more time to stitch! Off to tackle one of the big projects!

Thanks Mabel.. My DH did get it running, but not in time for me to get to work. And my progress on Day 3 is a bit pathetic since I doubled a row after only 60 stitches and basically had to redo everything I'd done today! Not a great day overall. Here's pic of my progress though! I'm working on skitzzzz's spiral fractal.
