I have one of those doodle cloths!! I love it. I do primarily cross stitch but I love embroidery so much. I'm terrible at it so I need a lot of practice, so I started one of those doodle cloths. I've practiced all the embroidery stitches I know of. I am not quite ready to do an embroidery project yet but I mess around with it when I am watching TV. I save a ton of embroidery pins from pinterest and occasionally attempt some things I see on there. It's a lot of fun.

"vulgar" gold? You mean you are not doing this in solid 24-carat?
It looks stunning and very stylish, and I'm looking forward to see you colouring in (is it like one of those mindful adult colouring books?)

:thinks: Hadn't thought of it that way, but it does take a lot of concentration to do herringbone stitch in that little space. So far, so good but I do need to get a MOVE ON! (I know, so what am I doing hanging around here... coffee time, that's what!)

Serinde, you can stitch! I am at loss of words when I look at your pieces. They look like some pieces of art, including that doodle cloth.

Your piece is coming along nicely. It should be so stunning once it is all filled in. I am definitely looking forward to seeing a finish on this one. :D

I promise a photo soon, but thought you'd be as relieved as I was to discover I had enough points to get yet another pack of beads from Sew and So (bless 'em) -- thought I had enough, obviously NOT  -- for FREE.

 Not quite the right smiley for this, I was trying to find one where the jaw was dropped due to Serinde's beautiful stitching. Maybe  ? Either way, that is beautiful. I haven't yet tried adding embellishments to my work but I might try, based on how gorgeous your pieces are.

Your work is always so beautiful and detailed. This piece is certainly no exception and possibly the most intricate I've seen to date. I am so glad for the update picture.
