The design brought a smile to my face and all I could think of is how much he will love it!

What a fabulous Octopus that is and I am certain he is going to look magnific when stitched. :whoop: :whoop: :whoop: :whoop:

Ummmm just wondering if there is ever an end to your amazing ability to just pick out the right design for each card?

I'm having great fun with Septimus - doing this after working on Bruce's couching feels a bit like colouring with big wax crayons after doing a very precise painting :-)

Apologies for the quality of the pic, I took this as I was stitching by artifical light last night. Oh, also a pic of some of the materials I've gathered together from stash.

Love it, love it, love it. That's not Angelina in the top stitching, is it? Horrible, unruly stuff.

I'm in the process of writing a FoF about all the materials used, but no Angelina - never even heard of the stuff! What is it?

A little tweak has been necessary to the tentacles, and in the end the embroidery turned out just a little too large for the card, but with a bit of pushing, and making the stitching spill over the card, it should still work.
Card picture tomorrow hopefully, but here is the stitching

It's wonderful -- right down to the suckers on Septopus's tentacles. And I particularly like the seaweed (kelp?) and coral. So clever. :applesauce: :applesauce:

The suckers are integral to the thread - the moment I thought of an octopus/septopus that particular thread immediately sprung to mind! Unfortunately it was too fussy to do all seven legs in, so I had to improvise :-)
