What unusual designs both of these are and I am sure they were well received too. Thanks for sharing them. :applesauce: :applesauce:

This a 3-D ornament I made for my 10-year old granddaughter.

First Christmas ornament for my grandson. This is a Dureen Jones chart from her Christmas countdown advent calendar published in The World of Cross Stitching.

Here is another Dureen Jones chart from cross-stitching.com which I made into a flat-fold first birthday card for my grandson.

And probably my last finish for this year, a birthday card for a friend with a December birthday. I believe this is yet another wonderful design by Dureen Jones

Beautiful. Perfect. Stunning.

That ornament is an interesting shape - how did you close the top and bottom?

My goodness, the decorations are utterly charming. The Fox is sooo cute  him and the dangly is just lovely and perfectly stitched on the sparkly fabric, I am intrigued too as to how it was put together.

Beautiful cards too. You have been busy.

Thank you my stitching friends!

The 3-D ornament was constructed in the same way as a biscornu. Each side of the ornament design came to a point which was backstitched around the edge and then trimmed. Then the backstitching is sewn together to form the shape. I also used fray check along the cut edge but at one point it started to fray too close to the backstitching, so I would cut it further away if I did another one.

Here's a link to this foreign site and many free charts.

The finishes look superb, congratulations. I hope the grand-brats treasure their ornaments, they should.

Richard.
