Just some small finishes. I've been really sick and I'm in the process of starting to declutter so I can pack and move so I haven't had much stitchy time.

A necklace on a wood form for my mom.

For my parents. I stitched it during chemo. I know these are simple but they still make me smile.

Those are really cute, and they make me smile, too, and as usual, your stitches are so pretty.

And just for the record, I don't consider any piece simple. Some are easier than others, but I don't think anything that is stitched with love, and provides joy to both the stitcher and the receiver, can ever be considered simple. Just my opinion, for what it's worth.

Hi! Can you please be honest and tell me if this gift is ok to give? I really don't like how it turned out but my wife likes it and it's for her aunt. I know I am my worst critic. Here it is. It was a Dimensions kit. (her aunt cans a lot of foods and this is "framed" in a canning jar lid)

Thanks in advance!

Not only do I think it is "okay" to give, I think it is a wonderful gift to give. What could possibly be wrong with a beautifully stitched piece that has a great message at any time of the year, let alone at Christmas? Your wife is right and its always a good idea to listen to one's wife!

I love it! I've thought about using canning jar lids and now that I've seen one "in person" I think I'll plan on that.

I think we are all our own worse critics...and whenever in doubt, listen to your wife. :-)

It's a lovely design anyway but using the canning jar lid to frame it is inspired and makes it into a unique gift!
