I received it yesterday and already tested it out and I am in awe! I can see so much better! the glass magnifier is so much clearer than my small one and the light make a whole difference!!

In the meanwhile my mother asked me what I wanted for my birthday, guess what I said? ;) so it has been a win-win :mexicanwave:

I have this one and I love it!

When I got home the fabric was here from 123 Stitch and today my threads arrived from HDF so now I can get started on my Twisted Band Sampler. I think I am going to try to reserve week-ends for non HAEDs. I have this, the last three months of the SOW SAL and several Lizzie Kate pieces I want to either finish or start.
This is my new stash and its a good thing I didn't sign up for the "Stitch from Stash" challenge since the New Year is hardly more than 2 weeks old and I have already busted the budget for January and probably into February as well. 32 ct cream belfast linen and HDF Victoria Clayton Premium Floss. My first time with silk thread of any kind, I think.

You will love the HDFs Carole - I was stitching with them yesterday and had forgotten what a joy they are! Just wondered if you were using a few other different threads for the Twisted Band, as I can't see any green HDFs in the pic :thinks:

Lousy light, Amanda. I got the colors that were called for as best I could. matched the DMC numbers to the HDFs. So there are some greens. Going to start on it this week-end. i hope.

No worries Carole - I just got confused as there are 18 colours called for in the chart and only 15 in your pic - can't wait to see your start on this one, I might join you and stitch on mine this weekend too!

You are right, Amanda. When I quick looked in the box I have my slowly (but now quickly) growing stash of silk threads, I saw some HDFs I had purchased quite a while ago, but never used and don't remember why I got them. There were some greens there, but looking at the packing slip I see where I forgot to get the "Imperial Green colors" so will have to order them. But since the greens don't show up for a while, I can still start this, this week-end.

I have the Woodland Enchantress my husband bought me quite a few years back and I've been wanting the Fall Fairy for about 2 1/2 years, so decided to get it. Also grabbed 3 gel thimbles and hope they work out. They arrived today. Hope to see the Berroco Handeze Therapeutic Craft Glove delivered sometime today too.

Along with 2 bead packs from Ella and Buttercup...And a jeweled butterfly needle minder from Nordic Needles. Also bought a whack load of DMC and some Swarovski crystals when I had the 25% off entire purchase...

I am apparently cut off now... @rotfl: We will see how long that lasts! Although I do want to save up to go to Europe hehe

I got the new model I'm stitching today. I was bad and spent the evening prepping everything instead of doing all of my school work. I'm hoping that will motivate me to finish my work this weekend so I can find a little stitch time.

Thanks! :) I have taken a break from her and have been working on a Heaven and Earth Design now for a few days, probably going back to her in a few days!

Oh it was amazingly AWESOME. Honestly if you ever get a chance go see them! They included the audience and were very interactive and Kimberly can really sing! I was really impressed with our seats as well, right in front of the cat walk where they spend at least half the concert at.

The Berroco Handeze Therapeutic Craft Glove arrived today in the mail. Used this afternoon and have to say that so far I like it. I know I need to give it time to see if it will continue to work for me. Very light weight and comfortable.

Thank goodness I didn't sign up for the Stitch from Stash challenge. I'd be so far beyond budget it wouldn't be funny! :)

I have had my first Chatelaine (Evening in the Park) kitted up for almost a year now. I will start it soonish.

Despite that, I caved and bought a few more Chatelaine patterns. I don't plan to kit them up anytime soon.
