Thank you, for your kind comments on my tablecloth. Meanwhile, I finished another Spas towel after it. This one.

Polydoanka, it is a nice bookmark.
*some time later*
Gorgeous birds! You can stitch! Maybe the blue one is your favorite. I don't know much about birds, but they're beautiful.

The Galars (not sure about the spelling, only ever heard the word said) are my favourites. Lovely finish on the tablecloth.

Re: Podolyanka's WIPs
Those frogs make a fantastic bookmark!! I have that design and I stitched it for a friend who loves frogs....maybe I'll search out the pattern/kit again and make a bookmark.
Love those birds! I couldn't begin to guess which is your favourite...I love them all!

Re: Podolyanka's WIPs
The frog bookmark is perfect
I know they are hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil, but I would like to think they are saying "read it, read it, read it"
I don't know what the Australian Birds are, my favourite is the pinky one although they are all beautiful and beautfully stitched as always.
Well done Lyudmila

Re: Podolyanka's WIPs
Those frogs are so 'at home' on there Lyudmila well done on a quick finish.
Your table cloth is coming along beautifully and it is lovely to see all the birds close up. The wren is cute although I have never seen one here or back home in NZ. The Galahs are always lovely to look at but not to listen to thank you. a beautiful post of all your gorgeous work.

Re: Podolyanka's WIPs
Thank you all for your kind words about my works. Galahs seem to be as common in Queensland as our sparrows here. Lorikeets would come in flocks of up to 27 to have their breakfast on honey and bread crumbs and then all day they would sit on this or that bottle brush tree "talking". Cant compare them to any European bird, but they impressed me more than cockatoos with their cheerful incredible colours.
But the word "Queensland" to me associates with splendid wren- in reality I saw only completely bright dark blue with a black ring aroung the neck and bright red ones(darker than DMC 321) with the same black ring. In any special literature, in charts, on google which knows everything, I cant find those birds for love or money and am shown multicolour species like the one on the tablecloth. The yellow honey eater is not familiar to me, as the ones I saw were olive green with red eyes and musch smaller.
Anyway, I enjoyed every stitch in this project and am happy I rescued it from being a UFO. Thank you all for the support on my way to the finish.

Re: Podolyanka's WIPs
I apologize for the quality of the photos. In reality the fabric is light lemon. These are two first corners of the tablecloth which I call "Worcestershire-Staffordshire Canal, 2006". When I have finished with all the corners, I will stitch canal boats, village streets, etc- all things we saw from the canal. By the way, it was there that for the first time in my life I saw a cat on a lead. As you can see, the corner with water lilies is not finished yet, but it shows what I have been stitching for two weeks in between million of other jobs.
In reality the ducks are much larger than the frog. Were the photos taken from different distance or what?
