Richard, I know about the regulation you mention but am fairly certain it only applies to digital sales - or did to begin with anyway, and the threshold was removed in the UK as well. Because I sell digital chart packs I had to really look into this. I got out of having to do all this because I send out my chart packs personall by email, they are not automatic downloads (as they are on Etsy, which does the VAT collecting for us)
But as far as I know, for physical items the old rules apply, which means you are not liable for VAT anywhere unless your turnover passes the UK threshold (which I think is rather higher than £1000).
If that hasn't changed since I last looked into it, you should be able to sell to the EU without any problems (at least until next March....)

Yipes, Squirrel! Sorry to have hijacked this thread and taken it down at least one rabbit hole.

Did you find the thread you needed in the end -- I've sort of lost track!. :king:

Hi Serinde, yes I have a couple of shops sort of local where I can restock, it was just easier to and heaps cheaper to get them from the US plus I had odds and ends in my wish list I could fill out the order with. :)

I have enjoyed the trip down the "rabbit hole", very interesting. :)
