Signed up too! I've never tried Hardanger but it looks beautiful so this seems a perfect opportunity to learn. :D

One of the first things I did this morning was to sign up for the SAL. Now to decide on my materials. Gonna try to stick with stash I already have. It will be so nice to have this to look forward to after the Holiday activity.

I just signed up...and I have two pieces of hardanger coming Saturday. I couldn't decide between white and purple, so I got both. :-? :tizzy: I'm really leaning toward the purple (based on how it looks online)...but I also like the idea of using different color fibers. Decisions!!!!

You could go mad and stitch in fuchsia and orange on purple :-)

Well, it is a mad mad mad mad world. :-) I would love to figure out a pretty way to incorporate a bright blue and a bright green - those, with the purple, would represent my birthstone, my son's, and my dil's. Sometimes I just hate making decisions!

Love the idea of the purple fabric Debby. I make my decisions about fabric and thread colour when I see the design each month.

I shall be sewing from stash as much as possible this time around :) banned myself from spending as i have so much to complete at the moment it makes no sense to keep buying when funds are tight and i cant possibly use everything i have at the moment.
This has worked well for me this year as i have only bought 2 packs of needles and a few threads to complete my grandsons birthday present, so that is my goal again this year to complete stuff already started or sew from stash :)

I suspect I'll have a go at this using the white version with perhaps hints of colour on some of the specialty stitching. I'll know more when I see the first design. :D

Thanks Debby....I think that despite the fact that I'm almost drowning in fabrics I may just have to get a piece of that... I'll wait to see what the New Years budget brings!

Sally, both pieces of fabric are by Wichelt, 22 count hardanger. The white is "antique white" and the purple is "lilac" (it's not lilac in person, it's PURPLE and beautiful  ).
