Re: Mabel's other stitching
I've done a bit of stitching with the Pearsall's and so far I really like it! It's not that much different from the Renaissance Dyeing wool except that I think it has fewer of the slightly thinner patches, and it looks nice and plump when stitched.
As I've got more colours here I could try out my stem stitch shading, which I'm quite happy with! The two red are one of my new favourite stitches, raised chain stitch band. I've played with the spacing here, usually the spacing would be uniform throughout.

WOW Mabel, it looks amazing and I love that raised chain stitch - must look into how to do that it could be very useful.
Love the colours you are using too. Most enjoyable.

Re: Mabel's other stitching
It's taken a while, but I've finished the Pearsall's flower
I'll write a FoF about the comparison with Renaissance Dyeing but I think the most noticeable thing was that this wool seems a bit thicker than the RD. Both lovely to work with though!

Sew beautiful.
Reminds me of my mom's work which is what attracted me to stitching.

Re: Mabel's other stitching
A bit of stitching I did at the Knitting & Stitching Show - at Rowandean's stand they had a table where you could sit down and do a relaxing bit of stitching while giving your feet a rest . The lady who does all their designs showed how to use bits of organza as a background for some freestyle floral embroidery. Lovely to try out, and now I have a use for the hand-dyed organza left over from Extravorganza!
