Such cute photos of L&S! It's cooler up here, so I'm wearing my fleece pyjama pants, which are Max's favourite, so he's been on me a lot lately.

I can't believe how long it has been since I have updated this one. I had my first test of the serious confetti in this piece on this page. But page 3 (and a teeny bit of pages 4 and 9) is now complete! Of course I had help. Sort of.

Here's Laverne sitting innocently in front of my chart. I am working on the bottom section.


So I cleverly moved the chart up higher on the magnetic board. At least over her back so being an obedient servant she could still sit there and I could still stitch. So she adjusted her stance.
. I think I just got up and got myself a glass of juice at that point.

My newest lamp is also on the table. Got it at Hobbie Lobby (40% off coupon helped). Besides putting extra light on the chart, it has a magnifier when I need to really check a symbol. And how neat is this: it has a place that I can plug in my phone or iPad and charge it. Very useful when I am using the iPad as my chart which I sometimes do also.

I loved watching the bow in her hair and the curl develop as I was stitching. Tons of confetti but enough blocks or strings of stitches that there was some relief. Worth it. Next is more of the stone background but for now I will have a break and spend time on my Twisted Band Sampler.

Thank you for your comments. The new lamp has an actual plug for the iPhone and iPad right in its base. I had been using one of the mobile extension cords to keep the iPad plugged in when I'm using it as a chart. I had never seen one like this. If you click on the picture with Laverne standing up, you can see where I have one of the devices charging up. I think its a great added attraction. All the clip on lights and book lights and around the neck hanging magnifiers don't work that well for me. Okay for traveling, but not what I prefer at home.

It's fantastic! I bet there was a lot of confetti but it was very well worth it!!

Love the "help" you were getting.....I have a Penny cat who sits on my lap while I stitch, the trouble is now I don't have a blanket over my knees as it's spring, she spends her time sticking her claws into my legs, everyone is getting used to my sudden shouts!! I think I'd rather have her in the way of my charts...

Seems like a long time since I stitched on this one. Interestingly, I thought I was going to work on a different one but the little kitty that I haven't gotten anywhere near to stitching must have been meowing because I put the other one up and stitched till I had completed 1/2 of the next page (4). Was going to keep at it thinking it would mostly be large blocks of color (which it was) so I could stitch a whole page, but the weather got cold and the cat afghan could be heard yelling "me, me, me" throughout the house. I didn't get a lot of feline assistance for some reason, but that didn't mean she (Laverne) didn't want to take credit when I spread the piece on the table to get a picture:

and I finally was able to get a picture. This time I worked down the page by columns so the left half of page 4 is pictured. I love the way the stone background has so much depth to it.

That is awesome!!!!!! The backgrounds can be incredible when viewed from a few steps away can't they. Even though it looks like nothing when you are stitching it.

Makes me smile too, Richard. This is for my niece who has 2 cats and danced ballet all the way through High School. Good enough to play Clara in the Nutcracker one year. I hope to finish it before she has a little girl of her own and since the plan is for her to get married sometime in 2016 or 2017 I might manage it. (She doesn't know so if I'm a little late she won't know that either. )
