 Nichola. Glad to see you back and what fun those pieces will be to stitch! It would be hard for me to pick which one to start with. Looking forward to seeing your updates!

I've started the sea turtle but not done enough to warrant a photo yet. However this just arrived and I'm itching to start stitching something out of it! :whoop:

Nice to see you here. It’s been a minute. :-) I love your choices of designs and I’m looking forward to seeing the turtle progress, as well as whatever Pokémon you decide to stitch.

Wool for the crewelwork course I'll be teaching later this year. It's Appleton's; there will also be some of my two favourite wools, but they are unfortunately too expensive to use for all of it :(

More brightness. I do wish someone with a bit of clout -- say the RSN -- would take Appleton aside and help them buck up their manufacturing processes. The thick and thin changes are very unhelpful.

My friend in Scotland saw this beauty listed on Facebook and shared it. It was love at first sight. She agreed to pick it up for me AND mail it. It's beautiful. I have no idea yet what I will do with it but for now I'm content to stare at it. :-)

I have just found out that there is a gizmo that turns the Lowery into a table clamp.

I have also just ordered one....

Tempting, tempting

I had a oops moment on saturday... My father was looking over my shoulder when I hit the bid button and won another cross stitch kit  He knows I am not allowed to buy cross stitch kits this year so I told him it was his Christmas present to me

It is Thea Gouverneur's Pear Blossom, which like the cow parsley has beads and bees on it :D , but this one is on black Aida which is going to be replaced with linen. I have yet to find a good picture of it I can show you, even the photo on the packet I have seen looks awful so we will all have to wait for it to turn up.

Edit: Found a pic:

I love how natural the bees look, a very clever design! Normally I would like the contrast between the pear blossom and a black background, but I think the bees might get rather lost on it. Looking forward to your linen version!

My excuse is that a) I can take it to RSN classes when DH can't take me there and I have to go by bus and b) it's one more clamp/stand thing that I can lend to my Crewel students. :D

Jo, what a great gift from your dad. :-)

If I stitched at a table, I would jump at the chance to buy the Lowery table conversion.
