I am working steady on the cat stocking this week. I have another stocking to make, I’m on page 8 of 28 of Bedroom at Arles, basically have just put aside Link and Stephen King, and I am now trying to get supplies for a Dr. Who SAL. I have a piece of material, but I want to dye it.

So much to sew….so little time.

I love both of your colorful stockings and the cool blues in the Bedroom at Arles.
I was wondering if you were still working on the Overlook Hotel, how close are you to finishing that one?
The Dr. Who SAL sounds interesting, I can't wait to see you start it.

I’ve kind of given up on the Overlook. I have all the patterns, so eventually I’ll get back to it. Just to much to do.

At least you're trying. I've never tried to dye my own fabric...I think I'm too lazy and too afraid of the mess. I'm going to try to find something in my stash. I think I want to use a 16 count or 18 count, just to make the overall size a bit smaller.

I have a white 16 count, but my dyeing is pitiful. Lol. I’m on-line trying to order a pretty piece from Michael’s for pick up, but they have the absolute worst website. Also, several thread colours they don’t carry, so I’m going to have to order some from StitchitCentral and pay for delivery.

It certainly is. Backstitch can be a pain, but it often make such a difference.

After posting that picture I realized all the red in the top is outlined in the wrong colour. And. I am just finishing it that way.
