Oh my goodness your needle must be red hot getting all this beautiful Owl one finished. I love it and what a gorgeous array of other creatures around him. As for the other 2 they are beautifully stitched. You sure have kept busy whilst the Forum has been down. Beautiful work in all of them and what a delightful array of subjects too. Well Done Maureen.

Hello Lovelies, thank you for all your kind replies.

I have been very tardy at updating this thread, I only took photos yesterday, I will try to update regularly in future.

I finished Every Day May Not Be Good.... on 28th June.

Image

I stitched up two more Art Nouveau bookmarks to replace those I have given away (they do make great little thank you gifts)

Image

I stitched a tiny version of Edvard Munch's The Scream.

Image

How tiny is the Tiny Scream? here with the bookmarks for scale

Image

I need to stitch some fabric on to my biggest frame for my next project, or I may stitch the Delft Bluebells to go with the Delft Daffodils.

These are good-looking, and very handy. A tiny "scream" is useful?

You have been busy and I think they all great. The tiny scream is very unique. I wouldn't have thought so much detail could be in such a small piece. I really like it.

Thank you lovelies, you are so kind.

Carole, the tiny Scream measures 2 1/4 x 3 inches, I forgot to add measurements to the above post. Next to find a tiny frame for it

Hello Lovelies, Thank you ever so much for your lovely replies.

Well, I'm sorry it's been a while again, I really struggled in the heat last week, we had 37.1c which is ridiculous for Wales, we should be around 18-20c, finally feeling better though, I stitched when I could so I have two updates

Delft Bluebells to go with Delft Daffodil

Image

I still want to stitch two more Art Nouveau bookmarks, but I was eager to get started on my latest project

Image

I am having to stitch "in the well" with this one, which I dislike as I find I can never get the fabric as taut as when the fabric is over the bars, the sampler is so wide at 21 inches with 3 inches either side so 27 inches, I am stitching this one in sections as I will be using my Lowery long frame adaptor for the right hand side.

Eeek! a long way to go yet.

Love the bluebells! I enjoy doing some smalls "in the well", but take your point about a big piece. And yet it looks wonderful. I'll enjoy watching this one grow.

(We had 27C here, too. Ridiculous.)

I hope you enjoy doing the Moira Blackburn piece as much as I did back in 2000. Interesting that they have changed the colour of the flowers on the inner 'loop' to white, on my earlier piece they alternated red and violet.

I wonder what else they have changed. Is it still on 18 count?

Jo, this is Moira Blackburn's Oak Tree Sampler, it only came out on 28 September 2021 (unless it is a re-issue) by Bothy Threads.

The flowers on the inner are alternating white and off white.

It is stitched on 16 count Aida.

So far it is a joy to stitch.

I really enjoyed it when I did mine. This is my original:

Image

You may be able to make out it is on a "Rustico" coloured fabric, which is the same on her "To everything is a season" one:

I wonder what else they changed

This is the link to the updated version.

How interesting, I wasn't aware it had been released before, I wonder what other of her designs may be updated in future.

I love the colours in the updated version.

The bluebells are beautiful! :applesauce: :applesauce: Great start on the Sampler too. Interesting to see the difference in colors between this design and the one that Jo stitched.
