He’s home, after another perfect Hobby Lobby framing. By the way, I’ve named him Cecil. :-)

 Why not Alexandr or Sergey which are the most common Russian male names in the 21st century?
The frame is perfect for this design. Well done.

I had originally thought about a Russian name, probably Ivan, and then I remembered Cecil the Seasick Sea Serpent and I just had to go with that. I'll make his middle name Ivan. Cecil Ivan...yeah, I like that.

Cecil, my three headed serpent, earned 100 points (no lost points in the judging categories), but no bonus points, so 100 out of 105. I have to say, this one disappointed me the most. Based on the judge's comments (lots of "excellent"), plus a comment under the degree of difficulty category of "32 count linen," I am confused as why I earned no bonus points. Don't get me wrong, I'm proud of my work and very pleased with the perfect base score and the accompanying comments, but still.... Oh well, he's back in his place on the wall with his 2nd place ribbon proudly displayed.

In case you're interested, the judging categories are:

General Appearance:
Clean and neat (10 points possible)
Suitability of materials for technique and purpose (10 points possible)
Degree of difficulty (10 points possible)

Workmanship:
Construction: Well made, use of appropriate joins/transitions, and finish (20 points possible)
Stitch technique consistent throughout (10 points)
Originality: Creative use for pattern or expression (15 points possible)
Use of color and texture: Designs and materials harmonize throughout (10 points possible)
Presentation: Item is finished; quality of pressing, blocking, and framing (15 points possible)

Bonus points at judge's discretion:
For complexity of design and/or intricacy of pattern (1-5 points)

I guess this is my comment on all three of your absolutely perfect (judges gave each a score of 100 out of 100) pieces. They are clearly 1st place works of art and I don't believe the "1st" place winners could possibly been better. I do admire your submitting them for judging. And you should be proud as you can be about each one!
