Not only is the S&G decked out for BizzieLizzy's return, but I am celebrating (finally) submitting my tax return! Not that there was much to it, but you know, it needs to be done and I kept forgetting, and now it's out of my way.

Serinde, the Bizzy Lizzys are stunning. So colourful!! And well done on filing your tax return. Only a year before you have to do it all over again. Like Christmas.

I'm just going to settle down in this big comfy armchair with my feet up, a plate of delicious, warm, fresh scones and a pot of tea, and enjoy being among friends again. It's good to be back.

I'm in here having a quiet . Having cleaned up after dumping a mug of soup all over the carpet and a chair at lunch. Cleaned most of it up, but it wasn't a happy time to discover that the seat cover doesn't have a zip so there's really no way to clean it properly except to split the seam... which I might just do.

I wish you the best of luck, Serinde. Just remember, if your house is nice & dry, it'll desiccate and stop smelling after a week or two if you do nothing.

Richard. I live in the West of Scotland. Nothing is ever dry. I've used Dr Beckmann on it yesterday, and it's much better. In truth the entire carpet needs cleaned just cuz, so if that can be arranged, the faint whiff of "stuff" will be gone for good!

Bruce and Haasje and I, temporarily reunited at the London Knitting & Stitching Show - I came home and they will travel on to Harrogate to grace the RSN stand there!
