Blending Filament Alternatives

Post by Gem3110 »

Hello everyone.

I wondered if there are any alternatives to the Kreinik Blending Filaments. I love them and have lots but just wondered if any other brands do anything similar so I can look for more colours and grow my stash! I am Uk based so preferably something I can get here easily.

TIA xx :D

There's Madeira Glissen Gloss (sometimes called Rainbow Glissengloss) - a quick Google found it at Lakeside Needlecraft, Willow Fabrics and Katz' Cross Stitch.

Rainbow Gallery used to do an extensive colour range but I can't seem to find it anymore :-( - their Treasure Braid Petite (which used to be called Petite Treasure Braid) is about the thickness of two blending filaments.

Hey Gem! Lovely to see you back. :applesauce: :applesauce:

If you use DMC Diamant with caution, it produces stunning, shiny results (despite the fact that DMC metallics are generally awfully badly behaved). You can find it here.
