:applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: This is stunning! I love the colors. There is a real depth and richness to them. Your stitching as usual is perfect!

I love the gallion, the backstitch finishes it beautifully. This is a fantastic, interesting project, Lyudmila. :applesauce: :applesauce:

Wow, Lyudmila! The top ornate "world" and decorations look very impressive, and so does the new corner. At this rate, "The Old Map" will be finished in no time. :applesauce: :applesauce:

Your needle must be red hot for sure. That is absolutely beautifully stitched and I do love the colours. Well Done Lyudmyla. :whoop: :whoop: :whoop: :whoop: :whoop:

Now only the map proper and the "frame"- it is like nothing as compared with the work already finished. The question is: where has almost all my enthusiasm gone? I was going to stitch this design twice, but the nearer to the finish, the less sure I am. The Aida is snow-white, by the way.

:applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: Stunningly beautiful! And the speed with which you have stitched this is amazing. Perhaps that is where some of your enthusiasm went? Or maybe the backstitching as you went ate some of it up? Regardless, this is one of the most beautiful pieces I have seen.

Thank you, all, for your kind words, but all the compliments go to the designer. It does turn out fantastic. I have stitched Europe and some of Africa and Asia since this photo was taken, and the whole picture looks different! Cant wait to see it finished.

Incredible! I am amazed just how quickly you have stitched the surrounding detail. :applesauce: :applesauce: :king: :stars:

I agree with Carole the reason for your lack of enthusiasm for stitching another. To be able to stitch a second as fast as this would be daunting to even the most enthusiastic Stitcher. Do you have to stitch it again as soon as you have finished the first? Could you stitch another design in between doing the two?

Have to ask also ...WHY do you have to stitch Two?!! :thinks:

Wendy, in fact it would be great to stitch it thrice- one for each kid who fell in love with the design when they saw it, and one- for a "birthday kid" from work. But so far I am stitching the eastern hemisphere on the first WIP.

An opportunity, and easier, to teach them to stitch?
