I agree! :applesauce: :applesauce:
BTW are you using a hoop or stitching free hand?

In hand, which is quite a challenge for me! The fabric is stretchy and I was worried that a hoop would stretch it too much even if I was careful, and then the stitching would go lumpy and bunched up once I took it out.
So I'm trying to keep my stitch tension even while working in hand on stretchy fabric....

Finished Teddy's bodysuit    The stitching is wonkier than I think I've ever produced in the last few decades, but I blame that on the stretchy fabric and stitching in hand :-)

If that's wonky, I have no hope. Looks perfect to me.

A tiny bit of stitching on the Delft blue tile (I was planning to get a lot done, but there was a programme on about an old Austin 7 restauration for which DH supplied some of the parts, and we could only watch it live, not record it, so I joined him - it wouldn't be as nice for him to watch it alone, and anyway, it was interesting!)

Bit worried about the thickness of some of the screen-printed lines, especially the tulip stemwhich according to the instructions should be covered with a single line of stem stitch; well, that is not going to happen is it?!?

I can see you are going to have some fun with the cute design and sort of reorganise it a little bit. :D :applesauce: :applesauce:

Managed a bit more - but also noticed more "thick" lines which will take a bit of disguising...

But sometimes thick lines look interesting in a design too. You have made some progress and no doubt will decide after a bit more stitching if you like it enough to leave it as it. :)

Re: Mabel's other stitching

Last July I did a 3-day metalwork class at Hampton Court Palace (during a heatwave - not ideal...), and apart from hooping up the project in a larger hoop when I got home, haven't touched it since (life, and all that).

But this weekend I finally managed to get a little bit done: finished filling in a shape with chipping, and did some plunging (my least favourite part of goldwork so I try to do it as I go).

Love the Delft Puss-Cat! :applesauce: :applesauce:

The Goldwork is so intricate and I expect with perseverance the "plunging" will get finished!
Little by little, eh?
