very true, but then I rarely make it easy for myself. I did consider using a dark navy blue. But what I had wasn't large enough.
But it's keeping me occupied and I can work on it in the evenings at work. So makes the shift pass a little easier.

Dug this out last night to work on, it's one of my first attempts at using PC stitch Pro, it's going to be a large piece.




Its not perfect but, I'm pleased for a first attempt.

Looks interesting. A lot of black again, but I do like the image. How big is it in terms of stitches high & wide? It's always tempting to make your own conversions so big they take forever to do.

Must admit that at the moment, the stitched section is an early one and I'm having difficulty relating the stitched portion to the overall image. Never was particularly good at jigsaw puzzles . However, it looks like a good start with the stitching being very nice & even.

Hi Richard,

It's 229 by 288 wide. 18 count. 14" x 18".

It is another dark one, just what I like I guess

So far it's the front leg with tattoo and the corseted body. The picture is actually taken from a t-shirt I have, which originally was red so with some playing about I converted to a blue tone image.
I may have lost some detail in it but it was more of an experiment to see what results I got from PC stitch Pro. That said I'm still new to making my own patterns, though I'm not intending to sell any just want to make my own bits.. Once it's a little more complete hopefully it will look a little more like its intended

Good start and I agree with the others that you are very brave, IMHO, to stitch on dark fabric. I did that once many many many years ago when my eyes were in better shape and even then swore I'd never do it again.

Haha, well I geuss I've just got used to working with dark fabrics, though I'll say good lighting really helps.

My tastes in stuff do lean towards, gothic and fantasy geisha and Wolves ect. I'm quite predictable. I do have a fox kit from dimensions. That's also on a black fabric. geuss I'm a glutton for punishment.

Ahh, I see it now. I was looking at the wrong scale, looking at the lit areas around the light in her palm. Told you I was bad at jigsaws!

I love jigsaws too, anything 1000 pieces up, I have a few Louis Royo ones too which I've framed.

Thankyou for the compliments, I have been fairly motivated recently. I also have alot of time to myself when I'm not in work, as my wife is under lockdown up in the Orkney Isles with her brother and sister. Not seen her in 4 1/2 weeks.

So much of my time at home is spent on the larger pattern and when I'm on a night shift at work, I get some free time to work on the smaller project.

So just making steady but regular progress.

The larger pattern which I've generated using Cross Stitch Pro, I am making subtle alterations as I go where I feel the colours and pattern didn't work quite right. And I am pleased with the result thus far. I do look forward to making more patterns In the future too. Hopefully with some practice I'll perfect the process.

Your stitching regime is certainly bearing lovely fruit and there is great progress on both of the current stitchings. Good on you for having a go at doing your own charts and it is working out wonderfully well.
