I love the bright colours of the William Morris one and you sure have made a grand start in spite of all the set backs. Looking forward to updates on this one.
Great too to see your work all together, a fabulous tribute to your every busy needle and threads.

Thank you for the kind replies lovelies.

I had a bit of a disaster yesterday when one of next door's cats tried to fit through my kitchen window and when he couldn't, he swiped at my "Tea" piece and managed to knock it to the floor and smash the glass and break the top of the frame, luckily I had another frame of the same size although it's a bit lighter than the original, I thought you might like to see it, I'm putting it above the kitchen door so I see it more often.

And I have been working on the William Morris Flowerpot - the flowers are no longer floating in mid-air, they have a vase!

I totally agree with the wording of your 1st lovely piece of stitching. If I don't get a hot cup of tea 1st thing the day is a mess before it could begin properly. Love it and what a good idea to keep it away from a determined cat.

Your William Morris one is outstanding and the vase is definitely a work of art. All that careful back stitching as payed off big time. Totally gorgeous that is for sure. :whoop: :whoop: :whoop: :whoop: :whoop:

Hello Lovelies, thank you for all your kind replies.

I've finished the William Morris Flowerpot. I'm really pleased with how it has turned out, I intend to print out May Morris' version of this and add the info from the museum so in years to come all the info will be there.

I intend to stitch "Rose"next, however I got lured in temptation by another Wrendale and have started New Beginnings (haven't got a photo yet)

Maureen, the new finish was well worth the waiting. Your love for perfection in stitching (and thus all the time and effort put into each work) makes all your works absolutely beautiful. But here I was really impressed by the neatness of the backstitch. I know how much of it is involved, yet it looks so much like one with the flowers and vase as if they were born with that backstitch. Absolutely awesome and wow-some work. :applesauce:
I googled your next project, and that hedge hog is really irresistable. Happy stitching!
