Maureen they are absolutely wonderful all beautifully stitched and presented. Of course they were well received, and will no doubt bring much pleasure to the recipient.
Looking forward to seeing the update on the JOan Elliott one.:)

Thank you lovelies for all your kind replies.

I finally managed to get enough light to take a photo of Joan Elliott's The Gardener. I decided to stitch the border in DMC stranded cotton 3820 rather than the metallics. I will be using the metallics for her headdress and skirt. The french knots will be done at the end.

That is looking really nice. The backstitch infill must have taken simply ages. It looks superb though.

Richard.

Gosh it has been such a long time since this was updated (explanation in St. Crossstitchers)

Well I finished Joan Elliott's The Gardener, all backstitched and beaded, I decided to use beads in her headress as I didn't like the metallic French Knots
Image

and I began the William Morris Flowerpot
Image
I forgot just how much backstitch there is in Millenia kits, it's worth it though, this one is the modern version of the one William Morris' wife May stitched.

Before my operation I had some pieces framed and as we no longer have a Gallery I'm posting them here if that's ok

WOW Well Done on finishing the beautiful Joan Elliott's design of The Gardener. It is another work of art from your busy needle. :whoop: :whoop: :whoop:

I love the bright colours of the William Morris one and you sure have made a grand start in spite of all the set backs. Looking forward to updates on this one.
Great too to see your work all together, a fabulous tribute to your every busy needle and threads.
