Funny how we can be critical of our stitching quality and yet when we show it off everyone loves it!!
I think that is absolutely true! This update looks very very good to me. Spangler's designs are great but among the most confetti filled. You know that when it starts to feel like 10 stitches of the same symbol near to each other feel like a great block of color!

Well, as you might recall, I was not pleased with my stitching on this one. I gave it some thought and realized even if I finished it, I would probably never display it. So I made a big decision last month....I started over. And I have fallen back in love with it.
(This is the third or fourth start on this design...I am determined.)

Great Start!!! Reminds me that I have to go back at some point to my very first HAED which I also had a restart on (after 7 pages of stitching). I still love it so maybe I'll give it a try soon. You are encouraging me.

Good on you Debbie for tossing the version which didn't seem right and going for the one you do like. That takes courage and patience and I know you can do it.
A lovely restart on this interesting design. WELL DONE INDEED

I have done such things more than once, and those extra hundred or two of stitches done due to restarting, always prove to be worth it - you get the project you like and it is perfectly stitched. to your bravery and happy stitching!
A brave decision, but just as well to get it to your liking when you take up such an enormous project! You can just about work your way through a small design you're not happy with, but anything this size it needs to be Just Right!
Oh my goodness, how brave and wow, you are determined with that many starts. Well Done Indeed for having the courage to res-start and what a great start it is.
Well done, Debby for persevering!
It will be well worth it. I love the design, it makes me smile.
Which fabric are you now stitching on?

But......I went back to the Curl Up I set aside awhile ago to start over. I know, I know. It sounds crazy, but I decided to stick with the previous one. I’ve taken it out of the QSnap and have been stitching in hand, which is pretty fun. Also, it makes it much more portable.
So, here is my progress as of a couple days ago.

You stitch what feels right for you to stitch, whichever version it is - if this one feels right to return to, then it is right!
And stitching in hand is obviously working well for you
