Last week (Wednesday) was my 70th (OMG) birthday. A few family things planned but nothing special, I'm just glad to have reached 70 (My mother's side of the family didn't always make 60) So I went to brunch at my daughter's (for my favorite blueberry pancakes) and when I knocked my sister (from California) answered the door. I was speechless. (Hard to imagine I know) and it was a crazy food filled rest of the week and week-end ending with a "small" brunch for my sister, daughter and son at a lovely little restaurant. We were running late but when we got to our table, it was filled with family and friends. I was so totally shocked. I'm pretty sure that was the first surprise party I've ever had. Completely amazing and they've been planning this since April and no one, not even David who is a sometime blabbermouth, ever even dropped a clue or a hint or a teeny slip of the tongue. Anyway, I have a fair amount of catching up on the forum since a lot goes on in just a few days so I will be taking some time to check all of the updates and new members and birthdays and forumversaries and I think looking at subject titles a birth and all the other news. So even though my absolutely frustrating stitchy bug is AWOL for longer than I know why, I plan on not being AWOL from here for a while.
