A Cushion for my Daughter
I was at the Craft morning on Friday and a lady came in with a Huge bag of fabric scraps. Well, two of us dived straight in (amicably I have to say! ) and we divided the spoils. They were all furnishing fabrics and at the bottom of the bag was a large double sided padded piece.
I cut it in half and made a cushion this morning. It's 50cms (20") square and has a dark and a light side.
I've also found lots of small scraps of 'silk' which will be fantastic for backing Hardanger.

Re: A Cushion for my Daughter
Thank you! I shall take it over to my daughter when we go over to the UK next time.
BTW she loves the look of it too!!
That fabric was padded and I had to stitch around each square Before putting in the zip as the wadding was reluctant to stay in place! Goodness knows how you could make anything bigger than a cushion with it!

Fablous cushion Wendy. So lovely for your daughter that its reversible. Glad you could make use of that gorgeous fabric even tho its padded. Must have taken some doing but good for you to persevere with it.
