Golly, doesn't the backstitch make a difference -- and it was wonderful to begin with. Lucky person getting this for Christmas!

Re: Podolyanka's WIPs
Last night finished stitching and edged this Easter towel. On Monday it is going as a birthday present. It was the 11 th towel stitched by me of this pattern over the last 10 years or so. If you see a Kievite with this towel on his/her Easter basket, you may be sure the person is my friend, as this design is extremely rare here.

What a lovely gift! And to stitch the piece so many times, too. I can just see the hemstitch peeking out of the photo, which also looks lovely. Finishing a piece is almost as challenging as the original stitching, I think sometimes. A beautiful hem is a thing of beauty.

They are so sweet! Are they characters from a series of stories or something like that?

Re: Podolyanka's WIPs
I have 6 charts of this girl from aa magazine which was published in 2005 or 2006. I remember having doubts whether to keep them or not as I normally dont stitch "cuties". But having stitched the first one, I knew I would stitch them all and turn into an afghan or quilt for some kid.
Cant find out the original pictures from which the charts were made. Maybe some cartoon?
