I had a visitor

Post by mauveme »

My best friend came to town today from New Brunswick, :whoop: it's been 10 yrs since I had seen her. Her mom died but she wasn't going to be there for the funeral but changed her mind at the last minute. ( they didn't get along).
We went out for breakfast, shopped a little and it was just like a normal day with my bestie, nothing had changed, I gave her wrong directions, she hit me and we both laughed ourselves silly. It was great. When she booked her ticket she explained that she had to come to the funeral, they asked who and what the funeral home was and she got on right away with a half price ticket. Shame she is going home tonight though. :(

What a delightful time you have had with your "bestie" Linda. I am delighted for both of you. It is great to make new memories to add to the older ones.

You are a cross-stitcher if seeing the title "I had a visitor" the very first thought is "a frog"(was sure the post was about frogging a large piece of stitching - large enough to become a topic for discussion on the Forum). Amnt I crazy?

My godson and his girlfriend are very serious an talking when, not if, marriage is in the future, I will definitely be there for that. I just hate flying so very much, especially in the little planes that fly into the airport down there.

I had that thought too at first Podolyanka, guess a few others did. Glad it was a far nicer visitor though :D

Great that you'll be able to go to your godson's wedding mauverne. What a wonderful occasion that will be. Another set of great memories to add to those you already have of your best friend & her family. An exciting time to look forward to, apart from the flying bit that is.
