Another cottage

Post by kingfisher68(2) »

coming soon. I have not done much of geisha as I really felt I wanted to do a big picture again. So, have put that aside & started Periwinkle Cottage, from Lilliput Lane series by Anchor. It is 10 x 14 inches on 16 hpi, the same size as Pleasant Row Cottages although that was done on 14 hpi.

I am enjoying stitching Periwinkle Cottage, it is colourful as well as intricate. I also have Anchor Rose Cottage kit, done on 16 hpi too, That will be stitched sometime in the future.

Will do a few more evenings work on this before I post pictures.

Thank you all. Each day I look forward to stitching this. It will take several months but will be it worth it. PR Cottages took 5.5 months & as this is more hpi, will more than likely take 6-7 months but it will be enjoyable, even if a bit fraught at times. Bound to have a little green amphibian visit but hopefully not too often

I am also looking forward to seeing your progress because I stitched "Around Britain" - those 6 tiny cottages and a church. Enjoyed every minute and never was bored or visited by a frog. It became a UFO when all the buildings were stitched, but a piece of coast line remained.

Maybe when I see your work, I will dig my UFO out and finish it after many years.

Happy stitching!
