Hi, this is the first thing I stitched after almost half a year. I was tired and stressed and needed to relax - and cross stitch came to the rescue. I looked through my magazines and found this small Mary Hickmott design. There is another one to go with it, perhaps I will stitch that one too.

:( I can't see the photo. But if it's a Mary Hickmott design and your stitching, I know it's gorgeous! :D

Agi, for some reason I can't see the image, and if I right-click on it and choose View Image it asks me to sign into my Google account!

But I'm glad you got this project done, to get back into stitching again; sometimes these little designs are just what you need to get the bug going again and to relax with it.

Can you see it now? The problem is, when I post, I can see it and have no idea if others can see it or not.

Here is a wedding card for my godson's brother. The card itself is 6x8inches, so quite big. Their colours were silver and blue, so I used navy 25ct luganda with my favourite Caron Moonglow threads. What made it though, to my mind, was the use of Kreinik blending filament (32 -- pearl, I think it is) on all the needle weaving. You can see more clearly that all the square filets are done with two strands of blending filament and petite (rather than the regular size) glass beads in each corner (Crystal 40161). It's very blingy in real life!

Gorgeous! For the needle weaving, did you use blending filament or Very Fine braid? Having used braid myself and finding it thinner than my usual #8 or Wildflowers, I'd have thought blending filament would take absolutely forever to cover a bar!

I used Wildflowers with a strand of blending filament (sorry, wasn't clear on that point) for the wrapped bars. Otherwise 2 strands of blending filament for the square filets with beads (oh, and a size 28 needle -- kept stabbing myself with the beading needle...)
