You really are getting on well with this one and hopefully enjoying every stitch of it too. It is great seeing the different colours emerging and I am looking forward to the next update.

Somehow scraped skin from thumb & a small cut on a finger, without realising this had happened a while later found I had blood on the green fabric. after I sorted wounds out, went & put mild soap on stains it & rubbed gently. but nothing budged. Put overnight in gentle soap non-bio powder but after it dried, stain still there. Stain remover, vanish one, did nothing either so had to bin it. Dustmen have been so it is now among the other detritus somewhere. A shame but these things happen, never had that particular instance before thankfully.
Still do not know how I managed to hurt my hand as I had been sitting in chair for an hour, just tightening the screws on frame when necessary & turning cross bars for moving fabric down s I could do bottom stitches. Think it must have happened then. So, moved on to a new kit.
Oh no Del! Was there not enough thread to maybe start it again? All that beautiful work what ashame! You maybe hurt it on the screws without realising?
think you are right Nicola & that the screws were the culprit, only a few stitches to do & I'd have finished that quarter of the design - maybe I'll do it again but not at the moment. I'd worked hard on it so best leave it for a while & if I do start it again would it on cream Aida, lighter colours are easier on my eyes - fabric supplied was a pretty delicate green & colours sewn went with it. Disappointing but that's life. Must make sure when I've tightened screws, to check hands afterwards before starting stitching again.
Oh dear I am so sorry that you had to bin your lovely work. I have always found cold water removes blood stains if it is used very soon after the happening.
