Well done, mags! There is something about an exchange that inspires creative productivity in a very timely manner! I have enjoyed surfing the internet to see what's new, having a good look at my stash of both fabrics and patterns, and of course reading what others are up to or at least thinking about. I picked my bookmark pattern today, found my fabric, and will search out all the colors tomorrow. I have the weekend to myself next week, so imagine I could finish by then or soon afterward. I am really looking forward to it. It is a nice break from the larger piece I am working on and it is nice to know it is a piece that will finish quickly.

Please, DON'T ANYONE PANIC. There's still lots of time to catch the spring energy bug and complete your project. Some might even be waiting to see who/where they are sending to. It's all good! Remember, we will all win a 'prize' as long as we stay in the game!

Happy Sttiching!

I started a hardanger bookmark on Thursday. But I'm well in advance of the game, so if my recipient really preferred a card, I expect I could do that, too.

Wow, this is tricky business! What I meant was some might decide on a particular pattern depending on where in the world it was going - Australia versus Canada for instance - although not necessary. Your bookmark will be received with delight, I'm sure. Enjoy stitching it!

Have finished stitching my design and just got to mount in into a card.
Had a designe picked out for ages but had to sort out all my threads first. Nearly went out and purchased some more but after sorting found I had them all one way or another.

Well done! You will be relaxing or onto your next project while stitchers like me catch up.

I will give the full day in Canada before closing off the exchange. I will add the mailing list through the weekend. I hope all of you are experiencing an exciting anticipation of good things to come. I know I am!

My bookmark is coming up north with me tomorrow. The weather is forecast to be really and truly rubbish, so I expect to finish it there. :ribbit: :king:

Still have to get mine started, though I finally decided on the design. That took way longer than I expected but I was torn between way too many options.

Oh, I so get that! So many beautiful patterns to choose from makes it a difficult task indeed. Glad you have now settled on one.

And so now the real fun begins! Below is the mailing list. You mail to the person below you in the list, with the last person mailing to the first person on the list. It is up to you to acquire the mailing address of the person you are sending to by personal messaging. Please, when giving your address, write it out as it should appear on the mailing envelope (not as a string in a sentence). And don't forget to use your real name. There are times when Squirrel or wendywombat simply will not do! Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any problems with personal messaging for addresses or posting a picture. I will help or get you help, I promise.

Mailing can begin the first of May. The deadline for mailing is June 5th. Once you receive your bookmark or card, please add a picture to this forum topic. Please also update the mailing list with Sent/Received when it is appropriate.

Above all, ENJOY! Take the time when personal messaging to find out something about a fellow forum member. Check out a map and see where she lives. Check out a map to see where your envelope is coming from. Savor the anticipation; take delight in the receiving of a gift from a far off place.
