When it rains it pours

Post by istitchwithlove »

I am having such a terrible time of it lately. last night was the worst. I was leaning over my parents bed to grab Dixie cause she needed her meds and i heard this audible rubber band snap and my right leg buckled in. hours later after being at the ER for about 4 hours it was confirmed. I tore my right calf muscle.

I argued with the PA about work and we came to an agreement she gave me notes for both jobs stating unless i am serving customers i need to be off my feet.. when not at work i have to use my crutches... I am on asprin with codine in it which is refered to as Tylonal 3...i take it every 6 hours for pain...

I took today off just to rest before this upcoming work week..my parents think I am crazy but i got close to 1,000.00 in doggie vet charges, plus paying down my credit cards from anixety shopping, etc....I just got too many bills to pay and tomorrow is my 3rd day at ihop so no i can't tell them i need time off

Big hugs hope you are on the mend soon. I did something similar when I started a new job I fell down a few steps and damaged my back. My dad went crazy that I didn't go to a&e. I did go to the Drs about 6 months later as my forearm was still paining me but nothing but pain relief.

Take care
Donna

Things like this is will swallow my anxiety about going to our hospital to get looked at or fixed. work will be tough but that's the way it goes

   I admire your fortitude (I think that's the word I want?) but make sure you don't do anything that will hurt your leg anymore. Remember that taking care of yourself is most important. I'm sure your employers will appreciate your determination and hopefully can find you tasks that won't require as much standing and walking for a while. Hope that you heal quickly!

Yup Carole that is the word. I have never lacked in it and wont now. I will be very careful at both jobs today. I'm going to get someone to help me with dressings today at ledo's and i have both my dr's notes. so i will stay off the leg as much as possible.
