The weather here has been crazy the last few days...lots of sleet, hail, and snow. It's made trying to get out to get things done fun...trying to run errands while the roads are wet and not icy before the next wave hits. It's making me look forward to that Florida sun even more...we're almost there.

I was able to get some progress made on Tink this past weekend.

I also got the next set of blocks done for the Tink quilt. You can find that picture on my blog if you're interested.

She's looking GREAT! Does she have any beading? I can't tell from the pics if there is some beading in there, a little metallic/glissengloss, or just some beautiful satiny spots.

No. There are no beads or shiny floss. I think it's either the way the camera is picking up the picture or the design itself which kind of creates a shimmering look around her. This piece is so much fun to work on...especially now that I'm closing in on the end.

What a beautiful stitch! I love tinkerbell and this makes me want to do a tinkerbell stitch next! I'm fairly new to cross stitching, so I'm not sure I want to start something that big and complicated, but I may look for an easier Tink :) How big is this piece?

Almost there, just the last corner to finish. I love the latest quilt block colours too - it is going to look fabulous when it is all together.

This piece is approximately 10 inches by 13 inches stitched on 18 count aida. It has around 110 colors. You can do searches on Etsy and eBay and find lots of fun designs. You might also find some simpler designs on Pinterest. Thanks for stopping by my thread. :D

Thank you for all the nice comments. As I get closer and closer to the finish, I am already starting to miss this rascally little pixie. I think I can count the number of updates left on one hand.

Here is the latest update:

Image

I've updated my blog today with a few St. Patrick's Day jokes, the latest set of blocks for my quilt, and a picture from our trip to Disney where were surprised to find a sneaky little someone hanging out with us.

Even closer to the end now. Love the colour squares for your next quilt. You seem to be very quick at making them. Also enjoyed reading your blog & seeing little Tinkerbell on your hand in the picture, excellent :applesauce: :applesauce:

Getting closer and closer. I think I sometimes prolong the last few blocks of stitching on a project I have really really loved stitching, because I know I will miss it.

Love the photo on your blog with Tink!!!!

Tink looks fabulous - so close now.

When were you at Disney World? I was there for my birthday Feb 28th and Mar 1st. It was a lot of fun - my first time there.
