A message from Sally (Squirrel)

Post by rcperryls »

Sally has asked me to let you know why she hasn't been around for a while. I got an email from her 3 days ago, telling me that she had just gotten home the day before after spending " a week in hospital after a severe infection due to appendicitis or something in that region anyway" :(
She is still a bit wobbly and has a nurse coming daily until she sees the surgeon Monday. If you are like me, you begin to wonder when "regulars" just stop and so often we don't know why. Fortunately, Sally is planning to be back as soon as she can. :D She hopes to start catching up with everyone sometime next week.

Most important thing Sally, take care of yourself and know that we miss you and while we want you back, we want you back healthy!!!!!

Thank you all for your prayers and good wishes. It has been a difficult 3+ weeks with what must have been a grumbling appendix which finally burst a few weekends ago and left me with a massive infection.
However I am home now and slowly gaining strength and enjoying visiting the "squirrel suite" where I hope to do some stitching on the lovely cards Mabel sent me (see I have been RAK'd)

As to "where to" from here is not certain as tests will be done in a few weeks to make sure no damage has been done to other parts of me from this event. Surely this is the end of me being sick and unable to stitch. Poor Angel is once again sitting waiting, but I agree, slowly does it and don't get over tired. I will try and be good. :x: no promises though.

One major item on the plus side, eldest son has come up for a few days and we had a wonderful day out together yesterday. It also gives
my DD a break from 'keeping an eye on me' all the time. I actually have 3 of my 5 kids in one place at the same time - a miracle really. We
all live on the same Island Continent but rarely get together so I am enjoying it.
