Richard,
Great work and I admire your ambitious project. Knowing now how long these intricate cross stitch projects take, I wish I had started earlier in my life so that I could complete more projects, lol. I have a huge wish list! I look forward to more updates.

The colours are so subtle in this, it must be virtually impossible to make out what you're stitching as you're doing it. Your stitching is beautiful and it's definitely taking shape, although I do see what you mean about the thumb!

Re: Luis Royo: Luz. Update 9 Feb 2017
Been working on Luz for 9 days now, and on a couple of days I've had a chance to make reasonable progress with page 11 of the chart.
Progress is as follows:
Have a few hundred stitches of the current blend in the needle to do (DMC 3782+3864) and will be able to do that fairly quickly in the next day or two. Steady progress rather than spectacular, but it's nice to see that the rune book is looking so well defined.
Regards,
Richard.

Here she is again! It must be getting more interesting now, moving away from the background a bit and onto the central figure and her book.

Now that the book is beginning to appear, I can see the whole picture taking shape. You've done a fantastic job on your stitching. All of those blended threads bring such detail to the picture.

A really lovely update Richard and you are making such lovely progress now. Isn't it great to get some blocks of a single or blended thread.

Re: Luis Royo: Luz. Update 9 Feb 2017
There are about 1000 stitches of the same colour in a block interspersed with about 900 of another blend. Three days on, I've finished the first blend and the outline of the sword's hilt is beginning to become visible.
Thank you all for the kind comments, they are appreciated.
Regards,
Richard.

Re: Luis Royo: Luz. Update 23 Feb 2017
Well. Two weeks on from the last photo and I've nearly finished page 11.
Here's the actual progress:
The sword hilt is becoming steadily more defined and it's a pleasure to do something other than background colours. The hilt is the most complex part of the entire image, with the maximum 35 colours in a 10x10 square, so it's a little slow going. The worst bit is to the bottom left of this page, between the last 2 strands of fishing line visible in the photo. Once the hilt is done, there's a little of the blanket draped over her legs, then on to yet more background for page 12. May get on a little with page 12 before rotating to Gryff at the end of the month, but I doubt it'll be much.
Regards,
Richard
