I forgot to add this pic yesterday, this is the full piece, I am quite pleased with one year's progress. Might not take me as long as I thought after all.

That's a lot of progress for one year. And the picture is developing beautifully.

I'm glad you decided to update the picture with the whole thing. It really does show all the progress you've made. For me, that first page can seem the most difficult. After that, I can really begin to see things take shape. I'm looking forward to continuing updates. :D

I agree. Post as many detailed pictures as you like. That's one of the biggest reasons I come here...I love to see everyone's updates and pictures.

Good job on finishing your challenge page. It's looking great.

Re: The astronomer updated 07.04.17

it's been a little while since I posted an update, we had a bit of a nightmare end to our trip to Seville a few weeks ago.

The car we were in was hacked and all our and our friends belongings including passports / iPads / keys / clothes etc were all stolen from the car, we didn't notice until we got home to La Cala, as the thieves hacked the electronic key lock, so we thought the car was locked but it wasn't.

So it has taken me a while to get my head in stitchy mode.

The last few days I have decided to start doing clout by colour, so will see how long that way lasts.

Lovely to see the astronomer himself put in an appearance.

Your trip sounds like a nightmare and those types of losses can really throw you off. Hope you're getting over it now. :D

thank you, it's been hard, but am getting there slowly, it's even worse knowing that we did everything you are supposed to do, and it wasn't even a rental car, it was a Spanish car but they obviously target that specific service station, don't think I will ever truly recover as some of the things that were stolen are irreplaceable. Thank you for your thoughts. X.

Oh dear Gillian, what a horrible experience that was and as you say some things are irreplaceable. Not a nice way to end a lovely holiday.

Love your update and it will be interesting to see how you go with just stitching all one colour and then onto the next. :)

I can't even begin to imagine how it must feel to go through what you experienced.

Love your update and am curious to see what you think about stitching one color completely and then another. That was the HAED challenge I did, but it is a Zindy Nelson design with only 25 colors, not anything of the magnitude of this amazing design.

I'm so sorry for the issues you experienced. My mother-in-law had something similar happen to her. She never did recover everything. She is much more careful when she travels now.

It's nice to see this piece come out. I hope that working on it can help you work through some of your stress.
