NOT AT ALL!!!Lulu22 wrote:Thankyou Wendy
It is so different there, it's like a cross between an airport lounge and hotel! I went there last year for an appointment, I'm not joking there was a woman playing a piano and singing, a mini art gallery and huge tree's growing up the middle, there were lots of people milling around with hand luggage its quite a sight to see
I should imagine working within the NHS is a rewarding job do you miss it?
Thank youwendywombat wrote:Take it easy, Angie. Don't be tempted to 'take up the reins' too quickly will you! I'm glad that you back home where you can take things at your pace.
Thank you and yep Home is the best place.rcperryls wrote:My wishes also for you both to be well on the road to recovery. Glad that you are home also Angie. The best and healthiest place to be now that the crisis is over.

Oh no! Take it easy, will you? It may mean serious business, that UTI.AngieR wrote:Been sick since Saturday. Went in the hospital yesterday. I have a UTI that got into my blood. Feeling better hope to be home tomorrow
I am so relieved your situation will improve! I hope all goes well and it's over soon. I hope you can keep going with your hip. Just take one day at a time and talk to the surgeon. I am sure everything will be fine in the end.Lulu22 wrote:
I've popped in today as I've been to the hospital and spoken to my Ortho Specialist, the operation he initially told me he couldn't do he's had a chat with his fellow hip surgeons and he's now happy that it is achievable, though its major surgery and he cannot guarantee that I would be totally pain free and its a lengthy recovery but I'd get to keep my hip.
He's referred me to Southmead Hospital to speak to a surgeon that specialises in Hip Replacements for young people so I can decide which route to go down, at my age of 41 I'm a bit old for the osteotomy and a bit young for Replacement.
I am feeling much better now that I know my choices and life can get moving again once I've had an operation, its been a difficult two years with my mobility drastically limited.
