Re: 2017 Deliveries & New Stash Acquisitions
Don't know if this is OK to put on here. These are my Christmas gifts from family.
If this should be on 2016 as I got them before New Year, please could you put them in right place.
Tiger kits are from BIL & his OH. Don't think they are copies of kits but when they are gifts you have to accept them & stitch them anyway. I have also been given by them in the past 2 other kits from YXC. One a row of the big cat heads in a row plus a petty one of a lady in a beautiful ball gown. XYC are in lovely thick plastic wallet type packaging. Not stitched any of that make yet, they are in my stash.
The single tiger head in this pic is from another supplier - someone who appears to make their own kits without copying them. Anyway, am pleased with the gift & as I said before when they are presents you have to do them anyway.

What lovely presents! That tiger's head is particularly beautiful, but they are all going to give you lots of enjoyment I'm sure!

Great all the pictures are there now - guess it was PB playing games again. They are great and it is going to be good watching them come to life under your needle.

Re: 2017 Deliveries & New Stash Acquisitions
Dear Tiffany gifted me a voucher for OzStitch, which is across the far side of Brisbane from us here. It was fun to browse their selection but in the end I bought additional PB (Petite Braid) 2 golds and 1 purple as additional back up on Angel of the Morning. There seems to be an lot of gold thread to be stitched yet and also the purple is used for back stitching designs on the sleeves! So now I can relax knowing I have back up supplies.
Thank you so much Tiffany, a brilliant idea.

How lovely to get a voucher for the stitching place. Glad you got the threads you will need. The angel is very beautiful.
Also glad you got to see my kits. PB played up for over 24 hours so guess that's why you couldn't see them. Took me ages to get geisha pic on my new thread. Sooo frustrating. Started day before I managed to get it on, No luck so left if a few hours, still no good, left it again & so on. Ended up doing it the following day. Would like to be able to do tiger head & the winter glow at the same time. Not sure which one I will start first. Tending towards the tiger's head but it will depend on what I will be rotating it with.

Re: 2017 Deliveries & New Stash Acquisitions
*squeal* Using up the last of my Christmas present from MIL and FIL I have just ordered this Daylight lamp from Sew & So (with one or two other bits & bobs to make full use of the postage...) - DH has actually got a larger side table out of the attic to replace the little round one that usually sits by my armchair as the base of the lamp is quite wide

Re: 2017 Deliveries & New Stash Acquisitions
As you can see I got it for a really good price, about £80 including postage when elsewhere I've seen them for anything between £105 and £130

Re: 2017 Deliveries & New Stash Acquisitions
I just received this yesterday from Etsy! It is everything I hoped it would be. Very easy to put together and there are so many adjustments that I can get it just right no matter what chair I am in. Very well made. I finally can stitch without straining myself. It is a "tall" model since I am tall myself and that is a plus!

PattyMac, would you mind sharing which Etsy shop you bought this from? I love that it has a chart holder! Very nice.
Mabel, it's so nice to be able to see, isn't it? It ought to make stitching easier for you!

Re: 2017 Deliveries & New Stash Acquisitions
You guys really are enablers, you weren't kidding! Since joining this site just a week or so ago, I've spent probably $100 on cross stitch stuff, including 2 HAED patterns. Oy. And I just went to 123stitch.com to look at fabric and all of a sudden there's $60 more worth of stuff in my cart. They had cool patterns on sale! So many things to buy. I will wait until tomorrow until I buy this latest batch, we get paid Fridays. I should probably wait.
I also decided I'd get the HAED materials kit for one of the designs I just bought (James Christensen's Faery Tales) so I make sure to get the right size fabric. I only need about half of the thread, but it comes in such a nice kit.... maybe I'll order that and hold off on the 123stitch order. Holy moly.

Michelle Welcome to the wonderful world of stitching. Sounds as though you have really caught the bug. You know you can leave your choice on your Wish List at 123stitch as long as you want to.

The shop is called Ocean Woodworks. I really love all the adjustments.
